On the northern hemisphere shadows are always longer, more so in winter time. It was a freezing day, about 2 below and this picture prooved the long shadows. Nice to have a stroll in the dunes.  

Just recieved a very nice picture from my bro-inlaw. He has been to the Chinese NewYear festival in Amsterdam today.
