Again Lorelle, thank you too for these encouraging words. I need it for sure. The explanation on 'Tags' is also very much appreciated. Tells me a greater deal now, then before. Allthough I am someone who likes to get hands-on experience and work it from there. I am still in a study-fase I guess.
About 'tags'. I have difficulties finding a way to 1] get 'normal' postings tags to work together with 2] a separate (static) page on which I can present a 'cloud-tag' (or is it tag-cloud?). At the moment <del datetime="2006-09-03T21:04:18+00:00">there are errors</del> when I call the UTW function. You can see that here http://www.flyweb.nl/index.php/archived/. Any suggestions?
Ah yes, and then your theme, great huh :) ?
Another thing, I have to get off-line now, tonight you will get a comment on yours :-) !

It's about time you told me. And yes, I would like it if you would send everyone my way. hee hee.

Tagging is a new and challenging thing to get your head around. WordPress makes tags automatically for your categories, so you don't have to fuss with those. Technorati tags are links that are also tags that take your visitors off your site to see other sites with related information. I personally like to encourage people to look around before leaving, so I now only use site search tags which generate search results using the tags like keywords. Very efficient and still they are "tags".

Tags are like keywords, but different. Keywords work when they are used repeatedly throughout your posts as indicators that "this is what this post is about so let me repeat myself so you know for sure". Tags are like mini-categories. They are the specific categorical word people may use to search for your information.

I think of tags as just another way to search, and another form of category, without making a million categories which clutters up your sidebar and can confuse readers.

Anyway, thanks again for the nice words and keep up the great work. And thanks for finally getting around to telling me. I needed that. A little late, though. ;-)
